1.who invented basketball?James Naismith
2.where? Dr. James Naismith was a Canadian physical education instructor who invented the game of basketball in 1891 while working at the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts.

3.when? 1891
4.how? Using a soccer ball, two peach baskets placed 10 feet up in the air, nine players on each team and a set of 13 basic rules, Dr. Naismith invented the game of “basket ball.” The first game was played on December 21, 1891. 
6.what were the circumstances at the beginning ?

7.what was it like at the start? at first players played 9 vs 9, started if with a soccer ball, and played with a fruit basket. 

8. what types of shots were taken?
  1. A player cannot run with the ball, the player must throw it from the spot on which he catches it, allowance to be made for a man who catches the ball when running at good speed.
  1. A goal shall be made when the ball is thrown or batted from grounds into the basket and stays there If the ball rests on the edge and the opponent moves the basket it shall count as a goal.
