                  student success statement

You have been brains in your head,
you have feet in your shoes;
you can steer yourself in
any direction you choose.
your on your own,
and you know what you know
you are the guy who'll decide where to go."

                                                     Dr.Seuss

                           Trauma Nurse

Duties and responsibilities: A trauma nurse is a nurse who specializes in acute emergency care involving severe trauma. They usually work in an emergency room, critical care unit, or perhaps for a transport company that specializes in transporting critical patients to the nearest hospital. A flight nurse would be an example of a trauma nurse working for a transport company.
Trauma nurses need to be able to work calmly under pressure, in chaotic, quickly changing environments. Trauma nurses also need to have excellent evaluation skills, to assess patients who might have multiple wounds and prioritize what needs the most immediate attention

salary: $80,000 to $128,000

education: You can earn an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or associate of science in nursing (ASN), which takes only two to three years. You can also earn a nursing diploma from a hospital program in just two to three years, although this option is becoming increasingly less common. Ideally, your best bet is to earn a bachelor’s of science in nursing (BSN), which will help make you much more competitive in the trauma nursing job market. Other options are first earning a diploma or associate degree, which can be a stepping stone toward later earning a bachelor’s degree through one of the many online rn to bsn programs offered throughout the country. If you already have a bachelor’s degree in a different subject area, you can look for an accelerated bsn nursing program, which will take about two years to complete. Nursing programs will cover many science and health related subjects, in addition to clinical lab training in hospitals or clinics. In addition to nursing related topics, you will study subjects like chemistry, psychology, nutrition, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology. When you graduate from an accredited nursing program, you must take the NCLEX-RN, which is the National Council Licensure Examination as a final step in becoming a nurse in most states.

reflection: i would like to be a trauma nurse because i like studying about science and i like staying healthy and talking about nutrition . moreover, they get good salary.

what goal is always a building block?

                              Obedience

"when obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block."

Obedience to God proves our love for Him and for those who you obey. it demonstrates our faithfulness towards them. If we continue to obey they will have trust in us. Obedience should come from the heart, done because we want to, not grudgingly.

                             Cardiologist

Duties and responsibilities: A cardiologist is a doctor of the heart, arteries and veins. Cardiology is considered a specialty within the broader category of internal medicine, and you can be trained in such subspecialties as nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and echocardiography. You'll diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. You'll also promote heart health and provide rehabilitation to those who've undergone surgery or treatment for heart ailments. Invasive non-interventional cardiologists diagnose patients as well as perform catheterizations to examine clogged arteries. Interventional cardiologists perform cardiovascular procedures to cure or treat diseases.

salary:$512,000

education: To become a cardiologist, you must complete a pre-med bachelor's degree. The program you choose should be heavy in pre-med courses, such as anatomy, biology, chemistry and statistics. You'll then want to seek a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. This general medical degree introduces you to medicine and the medical career. Through classroom instruction and clinical experiences, you'll learn how to assess, diagnose and treat illnesses. You'll also focus on the physical sciences, medical ethics, anatomy and psychology.
After you've completed your M.D. education, you can then move into a 2- or 3-year cardiology residency. Here, you'll make rounds with experienced doctors and learn through hands-on practice. Primarily, you'll work with patients in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and the prevention of illnesses. A fellowship in cardiology or a cardiovascular specialization is also beneficial to your career.

reflection: do you think would like to be one? why? why not?
I would love to be a Cardiologist. i find it interesting working with the heart. moreover, they get paid awfully a lot.

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Often referred to as 9/11, the attacks resulted in extensive death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defining the presidency of George W. Bush. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks, including more than 400 police officers and firefighters.

Millions of Americans went to bed quietly, with no thoughts that the next morning their world would change forever. Thousands slept with loved ones for the last time. People did to try to save not only there self's but others. Moreover, kids where left without their parents. that is the sadest part of it all. losing someone you truly love. Therefore, One never knows what a new day has in store, let us live each day as if it was the last day and never miss a chance to let those dearest  know we love them.
